Easter April, 2012

Janae was so excited to see the easter bunny. I asked her "What are you going to say to the easter bunny when you see him?" Janae said "I'm going to say I want an egg!" I hope you and your family have a Happy Easter!!

A little update on Janae...

Janae loves to dance, sing, wear about 10 bracelets on each arm & play with barbies!!

Her favorite things to eat are turkey & cheese sandwiches, cereal, bananas and YOGURT! She could eat yogurt all day. She loves milkshakes. Whenever I open the freezer she asks for one & sometimes when I ask her what she wants to eat she says "How bout a milkshake?" Hahaha! It just cracks me up. :)

Every morning when I walk into her room she greets me with "Good Morning Mommy" After her afternoon nap she still says "Good Morning Mommy" I tell her "it's Good Afternoon" She looks at me for a minute and says "Good Morning Mommy!" It's amazing how well she talks and she is even singing songs on her own without any help, like "Twinkle, twinkle little star" & "I Love you" from Barney.

She has to close every door she sees open & when she sees a piece of trash on the ground she says "Mommy pick it up" Lol! Here are some pictures...

July 4th Weekend

Our July 4th weekend was pretty relaxing. Janae had been saying "I wanna go see cars" all week long. So, Janae & I went and saw Cars 2 in 3D with Paw Paw, my Dad. This is the first time she actually kept her 3D glasses on. We enjoyed a great dinner at Olive Garden with Paw Paw. Janae loved the breadsticks just like her mama!

Lately when Janae says someone's name she doesn't just say "Nah-Nah" or "Maldy" She'll say "My Nah-Nah" & "My Maldy" which I hear alot of. July 4th weekend all I heard was "My Paw Paw" Hope you had a Happy 4th!! :)

San Luis in Galveston

Last week was Janae's 1st time to the San Luis Hotel. The first day she did not want to get into the pool at all. She kept saying “I wanna go house” She was referring to the hotel room. The next day all she wanted to do was stay in the pool! I was so glad because it was way too hot to be out of the pool. We went to the Rainforest café where they were having a magic show and various contests. My mom & I tried to get Janae out there for the dance contest but she wouldn’t go to where the contest was being held. Shortly after they started the contest Janae starts dancing to the side of where the contest was and I have never seen her dance so much. She was jumping, stomping, crossing one foot in front of the other and putting her hands on the ground and lifting one leg in the air. She even fell a few times because she got so into it and lost her balance. It wasn’t until after the contest that she wanted to go out in the middle of the floor and start dancing. At one point she started dancing just as they were starting another show so I had to hurry and get her out of the way. Janae, Nah-Nah & I had a blast!

Sweet & Sassy

Janae is getting to where she likes me to paint her nails & is already trying to get into my make-up. She is very curious when she sees me putting it on. So, about a week ago I took her to Sweet & Sassy to have a day just for her. I have to say I was a little unsure of her wearing make-up but it was just for the day and I knew she’d enjoy it. I’ve never seen her sit so still. After her manicure she had this cute up-do done and she kept her hands out to the side. She wanted to be careful since she just got her nails done. I'd definietly come back just for the cute little up-do. :)

Janae's 1st Dance Class!

As soon as Janae woke up from her nap today she kept asking me to put her dress on. She was referring to her leotard. I kept telling her it's not time to get ready for dance yet and she kept telling me she wanted her dress on. haha! I had no problems getting her ready. She was so excited to go dance! I think especially because she was ready for me to put on her new leotard, tights, hair accessory and ballet shoes. I am so proud of Janae and how well she did in her first dance class. She wandered off a few times but did very well. She definitely loves to dance. YAY! She even danced in the waiting room before she went in to dance class. :)








Nah-Nah, my mother went and got Janae a little present for her first dance class. It was a set of red gloves and a little red purse. When Nah-Nah handed her this Janae said "Oh my gosh, it's so cute!!" Funniest thing I've heard come out her mouth yet. If I only I had it on video.

Ready for Dance!!

Janae starts her 1st dance class on Monday! I'm so Excited about this!!
After this past recital I have been talking to Janae about taking a dance class. All week she has been saying "Mommy I take dance" Today, we went to find a leotard and she just danced & sang all around the fitting room. Here she is trying on a couple leotards. Not too sure what kind of dance she is doing :) She kept clapping & putting her hands out saying "Thank you" as if there was an audience applauding her.
